Editorial policy

Sources, scope and corrections

PakFiscal publishes independent reporting and analysis on Pakistan’s public finances.

Sources and attribution

Factual reporting should identify its source institution, publication date and relevant period. Link to the original publication where it is publicly available. PakFiscal is independent of the government institutions whose documents it discusses.

Calculations and comparisons

Original calculations should be labelled as PakFiscal calculations and state their inputs, method, units, period and comparison basis. Budget estimates, revised estimates and audited results are different measures. Federal and provincial figures should retain their accounting scope.

Bylines and updates

Articles identify the author or editorial desk responsible for the published work. A publication date records when an article first appeared. A later update date records a change to its public content.

Corrections

If you find an error or an unclear comparison, contact the publisher with the article URL, the disputed statement and the supporting source. Corrections should explain substantive changes in the article.

Protected information

Public reporting is separate from institutional Explorer access. Private workspace information is excluded from public article feeds and discovery files.
